Answering the call for clarity, OnSIP have responded to feedback from customers and nixed their previous four pricing packages in favor of 2 simple (and gracious) plans. The new offering from the business VoIP provider won't leave you holding/scratching your head, in an interesting move from the company you won't see in many other places. In compiling detailed charts and researching providers frequently, we here at GetVoIP.com can vouch for the confusion that often arises while looking over pricing plans - not so with OnSIP's revised pricing duo.The two new plans are: Pay as You Go, which is naturally $0, and includes no minimum, and an unlimited, per seat calling plan for an attractive $29.95. Price tags simply aren't enough in this competitive business VoIP market, so let's take a more in-depth look at these changes:
Pay as You Go Plan: This plan is a nod to a time not so long ago, when OnSIP offered their "a la carte" plan. Consider this a usage based plan, where features come separately (i.e. Voicemail Box = $2, Auto Attendants $19.95), although there are an abundance of free features like call routing, and the ability to add unlimited extensions, users and phones free (see their pricing chart for more details). Only worry about paying for calling, which is 2.9 cents a minute - with all on-network calling for free. Cut an dry, cheap and easy...
Per Seat Unlimited Plan: As noted above, this plan is $29.95 per seat, and really gives you quite the bang for your buck. Features like Voicemail-to-Email, HD Conference Suites, Ring Groups, On-Hold Music, Video calls, and a whole lot more come standard and free. For thirty bucks, that's really a sweet deal considering a few of those features will cost you with other providers, for a higher monthly fee. As the name dictates, calling is unlimited within area, while you may reach 20+ countries with this plan as well. Note that a 5-seat minimum is required, with toll-free inbound calling service being not included. (See the chart linked above for further details). No matter how you slice it, this new plan is great for more structured businesses looking for a consistent phone bill and slew of handy features.
The best part - both plans come with a risk-free 30-Day free trial, so you can give it the old 'try before you buy' treatment. OnSIP have both simplified their pricing and made shopping for a VoIP solution more appealing than ever (Personal Conference Suites w/ 15 Call Capacity aren't a common inclusion). As much as we deliver unbiased news wherever applicable, we have to tip our hats to OnSIP for making a move they characterized as difficult. According to Nicole Hayward, Marketing Director at OnSIP, reversing engineering systems dating back to 2004 was no easy task, though they are finding warm reception, not to mention big-time appreciation from potential and long-standing customers. That being said, current customers are able to keep on with their old arrangements through OnSIP, while new subscribers will be delighted with the change, no doubt.
