Danny Windham to Replace Marc Spencer as Digium CEO

Danny Windham is Currently Adtrans President and COO According to Alec Saunders , Mark Spencer the Founder of Digium and creator of Asterisk, has stepped down as CEO of Digium. Adtrans Danny Windham will be assuming the reins at Digium in Mid-February. According to Nufones Jeremy McNamara , Mark Spencer will remain Chairman of the Digium Board, and also take on the role of CTO. This is interesting news and further signs that Digium and Asterisk is positioning itself to take on the enterprise PBX space. For months they have been filling out their executive management team, and with Danny coming on board, it looks like this has been completed. This is excellent news for everyone involved. It is scary to think what will come out of Digium now that Marc Spencer has been freed-up to focus on the development of Asterisk and other ancillary technology.
